WHAT IT COVERS
What the free Scrum course covers
Scrum is a framework for doing complex work in short, repeating cycles. It is not a project management method, it is not a set of meetings, and it is not another word for agile. Clearing up those three confusions is where the free Scrum course starts.
Empiricism, the idea underneath everything
Empiricism means deciding on the basis of what has happened, not what was forecast. Scrum builds it in through three pillars: transparency so everyone sees the same picture, inspection so that picture gets checked often, and adaptation so what you learn changes what you do next. Most team problems trace back to one of these breaking, so you learn to name the broken pillar before you learn the mechanics.
Three accountabilities, five events, three artefacts
The Product Owner decides what gets built and in what order. The Scrum Master looks after how the team works. The Developers build the Increment. Five events give the team regular points to inspect and adjust, and three artefacts hold the work itself.
How a Sprint runs
The Sprint is the container. Planning opens it by agreeing a goal, the Daily Scrum keeps the team pointed at that goal, the Review inspects the product with stakeholders and the Retrospective inspects how the team worked. Then the next one starts.

HOW IT WORKS
What the activities are like
Twenty activities are spread across the modules, with names like Match the Role to the Responsibility, Done or Not Done, Fact or Fiction and Truth or Myth. Each takes a few minutes, and they all work the same way. You have to make a call before the course tells you the answer, which finds the gaps in your understanding much faster than reading another definition.
Every module also comes with a downloadable slide pack, so you have something to go back to when you are sitting in a real Sprint Planning three weeks later.
IN PRACTICE
Three things you will start spotting at work
All common, and all easier to fix once you can name them.
The event exists so the Developers can re-plan their own day around the Sprint Goal. Once everyone is reporting upward in turn, those fifteen minutes produce attendance instead of decisions.
Assigning tasks, chasing estimates and owning the plan belong to the Developers. When someone else takes them over, the team stops managing itself and stops improving.
Without one, finished means something different to everyone, work comes back weeks later, and the Increment is never usable. Agreeing it is dull work that pays for itself straight away.

Jason Cameron

Free Scrum course: common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The free Scrum course costs nothing and there is no card to enter. You create an account on ScrumCraft Academy and start. No paywall halfway through, no trial that quietly runs out.
How long does it take?
There are 58 minutes of video plus the activities, so most people finish the free Scrum course in about two hours. It is self-paced, so you can stop after a module and pick it up next week.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A certificate on completion, plus your official RSB badge for your LinkedIn profile.
Do I need any experience?
None. We assume you are starting from zero and explain every term the first time it appears.
Is this the same as a Scrum Master certification?
No. This is the foundation. It gives you the RSB badge and sets you up for the Registered Scrum Master pathway, but it is not itself a Scrum Master credential.
Will it help my CV?
The badge is worth something on its own. The bigger gain is being able to talk about Scrum accurately in an interview, which is what people are really testing when they ask.
Can my whole team take it together?
Yes, and it works well as shared groundwork before instructor-led training, because everyone turns up with the same vocabulary. Get in touch if you want to coordinate a group.
Do I need to be in Australia?
